Our Process

Cultivating Cannabis with Water

Deep Water Culture (DWC) is a style of hydroponic growing where plants are suspended in special pots with their roots stretching down into a pool of aerated, nutrient-rich water. The result of DWC is healthy, well-oxygenated roots and lush, quick growth.

Why Deep Water Culture? We've learned that this cannabis cultivation methodology results in:

FEWER PESTS

A DWC system does not require organic growing medium (i.e. soil). This means less risk of bugs, fungus, and other pests infecting or damaging the plants.

FAST GROWTH

While DWC-grown plants take the same amount of time to flower as soil grown plants, they grow much more quickly in the vegetative state. Soil-grown plants need more time to spread their roots in search of nutrients and pockets of oxygen, while DWC-grown plants have it all right there.

BIG YIELDS

With a DWC growing system, plants have easier access to oxygen and nutrients. That means that as they grow, they expend less energy which creates a positive impact on yields.

SMALL FOOTPRINT

Traditional soil-based medium can require a lot of space. With a DWC system, plants can grow up to their full capacity in much less space. This all means bigger plants with fatter buds.

LOWER ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

DWC systems recirculate water over many days before being changed. This means that there is much less water use and nutrient waste than traditional soil-based growing methods.

HIGH MAINTENANCE, LOW LABOR

Our DWC system was meticulously designed to produce the highest quality, most pure cannabis plants. We continuously monitor and refine our system because the more we do upfront, the less daily disruption and stress to our plants.
